Best Drugstore Makeup Under $5

Hi, friends! I don’t know about you, but I love makeup. And if you’re reading this, my guess is that you love makeup, too. Or at the very least, you’re curious about it. You know what I love even more than makeup? GOOD CHEAP makeup.

It’s almost like a scavenger hunt – searching for the best makeup that’s still super affordable. I get so excited when I discover something that works and is super cheap! My drugstore makeup journey hasn’t been very long (just a little over a year) and I’ll admit that I was a bit of a makeup snob before that. BUT, WHY?! There are SO many good makeup products at the drugstore!

I tried out A TON of drugstore makeup in the last year, so it’s finally time to put together a list of the BEST drugstore makeup products. And not only the best drugstore makeup, but the best drugstore makeup products UNDER $5! It still boggles my mind that some of these products are so cheap.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Affiliate links may be used in this post. You can read my full disclosure here.

Also, any time you are planning on making an online purchase, don’t forget to use Ebates! Sephora and Ulta are amongst the many makeup stores that participate in Ebates. Use Ebates every time you order something online so you can get a bit of your money back! (Some stores even offer in-store cash back) I’ve made over $400 in cash back from Ebates since I started under 2 years ago and I literally only buy makeup LOL so if you’re not using it, you’re totally missing out! I wrote a review on Ebates when I first started using it here.

e.l.f. – Matte Lip Color ($3.00)

This chubby lip pencil is great for when you’re in a rush and just want to throw some color on your lips. The pointed tip makes it easy to be precise in a hurry and the thickness of it makes it really quick to apply. Although it has a matte finish, it’s super creamy and comfortable to wear all day. And the twist-up applicator is super convenient!

Wet n Wild – MegaGlo Highlighting Powder ($4.99)

Not only are the MegaGlo Highlighters some of the best drugstore highlighters, they are some of the best highlighters PERIOD. All of the shades are stunning and the formula is so smooth – perfect for a blinding highlight. My favorite shades are Precious Petals, Golden Flower Crown, and Blossom Glow. Such great quality for such a low price!

Wet n Wild – ColorIcon Blush ($2.99)

Another stand-out face product from Wet n Wild is definitely their ColorIcon Blush. There is just so much pigment and it blends out so easily – no patchiness at all. My favorite is Pearlescent Pink, which is a peachy pink that’s suitable for everyday use, and I’ve actually hit pan on it because I use it so much!

Wet n Wild – Megalast Lip Color ($2.49)

There’s absolutely no way this lipstick can be only $2.49, right?! That’s absolutely ridiculous! It’s SO GOOD, especially for the cost. It’s a little waxier than luxury lipsticks, but still very comfortable to wear and the color payoff is excellent.

P.S. Shade Sugar Plum Fairy is a dupe for MAC Rebel.

Wet n Wild – MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick ($4.99)

This lipstick was actually my first matte liquid lipstick ever and it’s still one of my favorites. It’s comfortable to wear considering it’s a matte formula and it definitely stays put. It glides on super easily like a gloss, but dries down matte. Some of the shades are streakier than others, but the overall quality of the formula is very good. My favorite shade is Nudist Peach, which is the perfect pinky nude for my skin tone (light neutral).

Essence – Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder ($4.99)

This is a new favorite of mine! I just got it in my recent Ulta haul and I’ve been reaching for it since. It’s the perfect shade to give me a sun-kissed look without looking too tan and it blends out effortlessly.

L.A. Girl – HD Pro Conceal ($4.99)

This is another product that’s not only one of the best from the drugstore, but it’s one of the best concealers period. It’s so full-coverage that covers up my dark circles effortlessly! It’s also super easy to blend out and won’t crease throughout the day (with setting powder, of course).

L.A. Girl – Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencil ($3.99)

This is another new favorite of mine that I recently got in my Ulta haul. Such a great find! I’m always on the hunt for smooth long-lasting eyeliners to tight line with and this pencil is one of the best. It stays put in my waterline all day and I haven’t had any problems with it smudging.

ColourPop – Super Shock Shadows ($5.00)

I know ColourPop is not technically a drugstore brand, but its price point is similar to drugstore brands, so I thought I’d include it in this list. Plus, I don’t think I could bear not mentioning the Super Shock Shadows in any affordable makeup list I write. It’s just so good! I use these shadows every single day as my lid shade. The glitter and metallic shades are just AMAZING. They have so much color payoff and it doesn’t crease or flake off at all. I may or may not have almost every single glitter/metallic shade ColourPop has made. ;)

Also, I do realize that $5 is not UNDER $5, but hey, it’s a penny. :)
