Where is the time going?! I cannot believe it’s already March. It feels like February didn’t even happen.
But nonetheless, another month gone by means another Monthly Favorites post!
After refraining from buying makeup in January to recover from my holiday purchases, I was dying to buy new things in February! And so I did LOL.
Much of my favorite products in February are actually drugstore makeup products!
Some are new releases, some are products that I’ve been meaning to try for a while, and all are amazing.
I’ve recently found myself reaching for these products all the time! There’s always excitement to use new products when you first get them, but I think these products will be sticking with me for a while!
If you missed my previous favorites posts, be sure to check it out! Especially the year-end favorites posts – lots of good things in those posts!
So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Best Makeup – February Favorites
L’Oreal – Infallible Fresh Wear 24HR Foundation
This foundation has got to be one of the biggest drugstore foundation releases in the last year. Almost everyone in the beauty world absolutely fell in love with it!
After hearing such positive reviews on it all around, I knew I had to try it myself. And I totally was not disappointed!
It provides medium coverage that’s buildable to full, which is great because even though I’m a full-coverage kind of girl, there are days that I want my foundation to be a little lighter.
The finish is a natural radiant finish that adds a healthy glow to your skin. The texture of the foundation is super breathable, which makes it comfortable to wear all day.
On the first day I tried it out, I noticed that my skin looked amazing midday! There was minimal creasing, everything was still in place, and absolutely no caking or separating. It was a very good first impression!
By the end of the first day (about 10 hours of wear), my skin still looked amazing! Of course, there was the usual separation around the crevices of my nose and some creasing in the smile lines.
But, for 10 hours of wear, it looked better than almost any other foundation I’ve tried.
And not only did it look great, it still felt great! It’s so lightweight that it’s really comfortable to wear for a long period of time – almost as if I wasn’t wearing any foundation.
There is a scent to the foundation, so if you’re sensitive to scented products, be mindful of that. The scent doesn’t bother me too much, but I do wish it was unscented.
L’Oreal – Infallible Full Wear Concealer
Unlike the foundation, L’Oreal’s new concealer didn’t get nearly as much hype. And I don’t know why! I love the concealer just as much as the foundation, if not more.
However, I think this L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer is WAY closer to Tarte Shape Tape than the Makeup Revolution concealer is.
The consistency is almost identical (it’s pretty thick), it’s almost as full coverage, blends out the same way, and even the packaging is the exact same, aside from the graphic design of it. I love Tarte’s large doe-foot applicator and this one is 100% the same!
I may make the change from using Tarte Shape Tape to using the L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear concealer on a daily basis. It’s that good. And I’m picky with concealers.
Pixi Beauty – Rose Glow Mist
c/o Pixi Beauty
The Pixi Beauty Rose Glow Mist is so good that it made me add another step to my already long makeup routine LOL.
It’s a dual-phase elixir filled with seven flower oils, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. It layman’s terms, it moisturizes and it’s good for your skin!
The main ingredients are: rose oil to moisturize and restore, argan oil to hydrate and smooth, and avocado oil, which is a great source of fatty acids and antioxidants.
I like to use this as the first step of my makeup routine, before applying primer.
I spritz it all over my face and let it absorb for a minute or two. Let me tell you – my skin feels SO refreshed and nourished after the spray.
It makes my skin feel so healthy and alive – it makes me feel a lot more alive in general at 5 am LOL.
I haven’t used it as a setting spray yet, because I’m trying out like 5 different setting sprays at the moment!
But, I do love to use this spray to refresh my makeup midday. It adds life back into my skin when I’m looking (and feeling) a bit drab!
Pixi Beauty – Liquid Fairy Lights
c/o Pixi Beauty
I’ve had these pretty little guys for months and I can’t believe I only took the time to try them out recently!
I guess I’ve been stuck on the Stila Magnificent Metals liquid eyeshadows for so long that I never had the urge to try liquid glitter eyeshadows from other brands.
These are MUCH cheaper than the Stila shadows and almost as good, so it’s an awesome dupe, as far as formula goes. Each brand offers different shades, though.
All of the Pixi shades are gorgeous, but I’ve been especially loving the shades Crystalline and SunRay.
For my everyday look, I usually use a glitter/shimmer ColourPop Super Shock shadow on my lid and the inner 1/3 of my lower lash line.
Recently, I’ve been adding either Crystalline or SunRay to the inner 1/3 of my lower lash line on top of the ColourPop Super Shock shadow and it just adds such a pop! It really opens up and brightens the eyes, even more than an inner-corner highlight.
If you’re into glitter, try adding it to the inner 1/3 of your lower lash line with a tiny liner or lip brush. You’ll be glad you did!
Milani – Silky Matte Bronzing Powder
in Sun Kissed
I’ve only been testing the Milani Silky Matte Bronzing Powder for about a week now, but I’ve been enjoying it so much that I had to include it in this post.
The shade Sun Kissed is more of a cool-toned bronzer, so it’s perfect for those with a light-fair skin tone that tend to look orange with warm-toned bronzers.
In my opinion, it’s very similar to the shade Tan-Tastic in the Marc Jacobs O! Mega Bronzer, which is one of my favorite bronzers.
The Milani bronzer is slightly cooler-toned than the Marc Jacobs bronzer, but if you don’t feel like spending $49 on a bronzer, it’s a great alternative.
(I really didn't intend on this post turning into a 'dupes' post, but it kind of has!)
True to its name, the texture is silky smooth and it blends out seamlessly. I would say it’s on the light/subtle side, but it can be built up very nicely without any weird patchiness.
Because of it’s cool-toned nature, depending on your skin tone and under tone, this bronzer could be a great contour shade.
Givenchy – Le Rouge Lipstick
Mystic Glow Collection in 307 Grenat Initie, c/o Octoly
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you know that I’m much more of a lip balm girl than a lipstick girl and I rarely feature lipsticks in my favorites posts. And if you didn’t know, now you know!
So, to have a lipstick in my monthly favorites is HUGE!
The Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in 307 made me fall in love at first sight. Just look at the packaging! This limited-edition pink-gold casing is absolutely TO DIE FOR. It makes me feel so luxurious!
I’m a sucker for beautiful packaging, but as we all know, the packaging has nothing to do with how the product performs.
Well, I’m happy to say that the lipstick applies and wears just as beautifully as the packaging looks! It goes on so smoothly and it has a semi-matte finish with a velvety texture that is super comfortable on the lips.
And the shade! How gorgeous is it?! It’s totally not one I’d wear on a daily basis, but definitely a staple shade to have in any makeup collection.
And that’s it for my February Favorites! Still can’t believe two months have already gone by in 2019!
